Jenn McGroary is the Founder/CEO of Multi-Pillar Marketing, LLC.

I’m a certified marketing consultant, and I’ve consulted with many businesses ranging from retail, service, construction, and design.

Before starting my own business, I’d worked in small, family-owned businesses, manufacturing, and the child-care industry. I also served in customer service and manufacturing with the International company Crabtree & Evelyn, Inc.

With this range of experience, I’ve been able to help a wide variety of businesses with their marketing and web site needs.

On a personal note…

I’m a wife and mother to three amazing boys who are the main reason I have my own business. The availability to be here for them when they need me is of utmost importance.

My likes: Outdoor activities (hiking, biking, camping, etc.), reading, dark chocolate, horses & horseback riding (though I haven’t had much opportunity since having kids), listening to music, reading marketing blogs, social media activities online, dogs, watching movies, listening to my kids laugh, spending time with hubby, warmth, the feel of sunshine on my skin, did I mention dark chocolate? ;-)

Dislikes: whiny/disrespectful people, the cold, humidity, brussel sprouts, Will Ferrel movies, cheap chocolate, hubby stealing my yawns

How did you get started in this work?

I started out in 1999 doing bookkeeping and web site design for my parents’ businesses. I found  I really had a knack for design and coding, so I pursued learning all I could about designing and coding web sites. I did some web sites for some other local businesses and word of mouth helped me continue as I started raising my family.

Through the years, in between designing web sites, I’d started several different types of businesses and I’ll admit, there were a couple of times I fell for the whole “Get Rich Quick” schemes (which I now understand, only makes money for the person selling the scheme). I’ve done ebook reselling businesses, make and sell ready to go web sites,  I even became a Certified Product Liquidator. You name it, I tried it. Throughout this I got myself in some serious credit card debt as well.

During that time I’d started learning more and more about marketing in general. I would read almost anything I could find about how to grow businesses. I believed in “not putting all your eggs in one basket” so to speak and just relying on a web site to float the business. In 2006 I took a marketing course taught by a protege of the Master Marketing Consultant, Jay Abraham, and became a certified marketing consultant.

So from the debt I’d incurred throughout this time, I had been barely keeping my head above water with the credit card payments and I was seriously in jeopardy of needing to call it quits with my own business because I wasn’t bringing in enough clients to pay the bills.

I was furious with myself. “I’m a marketing consultant! I should know how to get business and to keep growing!” I vowed to get myself out of my own hole I’d dug and make it work, no mater what it took. I now understood there are no get rich quick methods out there, you need to put your butt in gear and just get shit done.

That was 2 years ago.

I am now happy/proud to say that I’ve paid off over $25K in credit card debt and I’m now able to contribute financially to my family’s needs. (Which was one of the main reasons for starting my business in the first place!)

How’d I do it?

Two things: First, committing to doing what it took to make it work. I wasn’t going to give in to being a failure. I was going to turn things around and make this work for me and my family. Second, I got help. One of my mentors says, “You can have it all, just not by yourself.” So I enrolled in a virtual coaching program and got the help I needed to succeed.

All high-level people have a coach helping them reach that greatness. And surrounding yourself with high-achieving, ambitious, successful people will help you reach the same level. So that’s what I did. I’ve successfully grown my business 170% from where it was 2 years ago and my goal is to continue to double my growth annually for the next 3-5 years. :-)

My aim is to help others reach their goals through mentoring and coaching just like I have.

Who are your clients?

I work primarily with parent entrepreneurs/small business owners in service-based businesses just like you! You’ve been struggling along, making progress, but not to the level you know you could achieve. You started with big ambitions and a passion for building a successful business while doing what you love. But now your passion has started to dwindle and you’re wondering if you’ll ever reach the success you’d dreamed of. You’re tired of struggling to find clients and want to keep your pipeline filled.

The people I work with have one thing in common: they are ready to stop playing small in their business. They are ready to own their greatness and really play big. They’re ready to regain their passion for doing what they love and truly grow again. They want a full pipeline of clients and see their profits soar. So how are you different from other marketing coaches?

Like most marketing coaches I help you grow your business by increasing prospects, increasing conversions and getting customers to buy more from you and more often. However, unlike most other marketing coaches/consultants, I teach you how to do this using resources that already exist in your business. That way you are not having to increase your advertising budget, you may even be able to decrease spending thereby increasing your profits substantially!

Everything that I teach, I’ve done in my own business first-hand. I don’t have you doing something that I haven’t tested myself and proved that it’s worked. No theories here, just practical, proven advice.

I offer a very clear & simple step-by-step system, each step building on the other to bring maximum success. No fluff or filler. Each step is written and explained in simple terms that are very easy to implement and take action on right away. No complicated mumbo jumbo or technical speak.

What type of personality do you work best with and what is expected of me?

I ONLY work with motivated people who are committed making a change. What you get with me is no-nonsense, laser-focused support along with lots of inspiration, motivation and laughs (it’s got to be fun).

I’ve been in your shoes and know that time is an issue so I make sure that we focus only on what brings results. We work on exactly what steps to take to regain the passion and increase profits in your business. I’ll be there to give you the Kick in Your Pants to keep you on track! ;-)

Consider what you do with me to be a mindset shift and an action-learning course.  You can expect to take consistent action to accomplish your goals faster than you thought possible.  No excuses anymore. This is a very different way to think and receive support while achieving your exciting goals: renewed passion in your business, increased profits and a full pipeline!

Who is this program not for?

Please know that I am very selective in who I work with. I choose to gently turn away people who are not suited for my programs and won’t get the results. It wouldn’t be fair to them or me.

My marketing coaching programs are not for those who aren’t willing to take responsibility for their success, who are in a major financial crisis, or who are desperate to make money in order to support themselves. I have found that people in financial crisis are not able to trust their own internal guidance system well enough to take the risks required to do the work they need to go to the next level.

If you happen to be experiencing some financial struggles, please know that I know from experience what it’s like! This is what I would suggest:

  1. Get some money coming in regularly with a full or part-time job. This will allow you to breathe easier and give you some peace of mind. Then call me when you feel able to focus on the work and this program with a clear head and open heart.
  2. Sign up for my free “Love Your Business Again” newsletter. (You can do so right here on the site) The free information and quick marketing tips contained in it will get you started. When you are ready to work with me one-on-one, give me a call.
  3. When you are able, consider starting with the home-study course. This will give you the foundations for growth without the higher investment of one-on-one coaching.

Doing the above three things will get you prepared for our work together when you’re financially ready. (I will be here when you need me).

I also refuse to work with people who consistently make excuses for not getting their assignments completed on time or who don’t show up for their scheduled sessions. If you’re one of these people, I ask that you not call. I hope you can understand my need to set these types of boundaries in my business as I am committed to high-level success for the people I work with.

You will receive total support from me.  Our sessions will be high level coaching via personal telephone conversations and email. Our work together will continue with individual homework assignments tailored specifically and uniquely to your desired goals. I have found that having my continuous and focused support will keep you accountable and assist you in reaching your goals faster than you ever would on your own.

Absolutely. Think of it this way: What would your business look like if it increased by 15%? What about 30%? Most of the clients who follow this program have seen business increase even more than that. In my own business, I grew 170% in 2 years!

I am already so busy and overwhelmed. I want to work with you badly, though I don’t have much time to spare. How much time do I need?

Much of our work together is done in private phone conversations and there will be work assignments that you’ll need to do on your own that we’ll review during our next appointment. You should plan to dedicate 1-1.5 hrs per week at the very least into working on implementing the system into your business.

As a small business owner with 3 young boys myself, I know first-hand that time can be an issue. I also know and understand the value in working on my business as much as in it in order for it to grow. I’ve developed a balance with work so I can spend quality time with my family. I love my work and I love my life; I’m dedicated to teaching you how to do it too!

The question really is: how hungry are you to create real and lasting change? If you don’t ever start, you’ll never get there.
